Most beautiful Cape Town
I have almost lived my whole life in Cape Town. Just less than 3 years ago we departed the beautiful Cape for a 2 year stint in Johannesburg - and thereafter departed for India.
I have never regretted the moves because of the tremendous life experience I have gained from living and working in new places. And moving away from Cape Town has also opened my eyes to its true beauty that I have taken for granted for so many years.
During our most recent visit Marga and I often stood and stared at the sky many times in the day. It is a long time since we have seen the sky dressed in a magnificent blue that becomes darker in the evening as the light fades.
In India the sky is normally a greyish colour and we never see the true blue sky here. (We do see many other wonders and colours here, but the sky is more dull than at home)
We spent just more than a week in the Cape together and had the time to sneak a peak of Table Mountain from Blouberg beach.
There is no such sight elsewhere in the world.
We also spent time with our Cape Town based friends. Thanks to Gerhard & Madelein, Jaco & Lanza and Albert & Elna. We enjoyed seeing you again. (Gerhard - hope your collarbone heals quickly!)
We also visited the vineyards near our house. (These pics were taken within easy walking distance from our house).
These places just become more and more beautiful - absence truly makes the heart grow fonder.
To all our friends and colleagues in Cape Town, savour the beauty around you. The world is a beautiful place and every place has its unique charm, but Cape Town is truly unique and spectacular. There is no place in the world like it.
To all our friends who have never been to Cape Town - you don’t know what you’re missing!
